The Carrot: A healthy and delicious reward for positive reinforcement.
Every year more and more groups graduate from their Shift acceleration year. Our Carrot Packs offer donors with a unique opportunity to support local youth heroes directly, choosing from an ever growing list of almost 90 changemaker groups, from over 20 countries. These groups have already achieved amazing things through their community work. Through the distribution of Carrots (small seed grants), these groups will be able to more independently sustain and grow their impact locally.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Our Shift campaign marketplace lists groups from all over the world who are ready to receive independent funding. Campaigns are searchable by country, by region and by theme.
Donors can select 5 groups to support with each $40,000 Carrot Pack.
Each selected group will be allocated $8,000 value in support over 12 months
WHERE DOES THE 8,000 USD GO?
$5,000 is distributed directly to the youth group via a secure platform.
Payments are split across the year and are linked to project milestones and storytelling outputs.
$3,000 is allocated to additional support each group will receive from Shift, including:
Networking: Bringing groups together across borders to collaborate on solutions.
Progress Tracking: Our unique self-assessment tool that helps each activist group understand the health of their change movement.
Growth: Access to multimedia content curated by our Shifter network to help young leaders learn from their peers.

We believe that young people have the right to shape their future. Even more than that, history proves young people have always been drivers of positive change and that societies thrive when they are provided with opportunities to engage in decision making from an early age.
By sponsoring a multi-year Shift project, donors can parter with Save the Children to support a continuous cycle of opportunity for young leaders across our network. Projects support change maker groups to flourish into influential movements capable of driving real impact.
MULTI-YEAR SHIFT PROJECTS
Can be implemented at the national, regional, or global level.
Depending on scale, can accelerate and support 10-45 changemaker groups, involving hundreds of youth leaders over 3 to 4 years.
Can be tailored to focus on specific themes like Shift Our Cities (urban issues), Shift Our Planet (climate change), education, health, or equality. Alternatively, projects can be open to any issue that matters most to young people.

Our community empowers thousands of young changemakers across over 20 countries. After completing their Shift acceleration year, they’ve influenced millions and addressed critical issues like early marriage, teen pregnancy, social inequality, LGBTQI+ rights, and climate change.
Now, we need a platform to help these young leaders sustain their impact. This platform will connect Shift graduates with the funding, resources, and networks needed to grow their movements.
